Kristen Cleveland, PMP, is the Vice President of Growth at BioTeam LLC, a small life sciences consulting. She focuses on creating business and go-to-market strategies to help companies grow and succeed. With a wealth of experience, Kristen has been instrumental in improving operations and helping BioTeam and its clients expand their reach. She enjoys working with teams to bring innovative ideas to life and making an impact in the industry.

Linking the results of your efforts directly to the Return on Investment (ROI) is crucial for propelling your organization's projects and initiatives to new heights. Mastering the art of effectively understanding and conveying your impact is a skill that can be refined through practice. This session is designed to equip you with essential insights, preparing you for those critical discussions.Speaker: Steve VitaleSteve Vitale has over 20 years of experience in Pharmaceutical Research at GSK, with an extensive background in safety and sustainability where he has been in various support roles across his career. He was introduced to the industry as a waste technician and soon moved into the manager of operations for the waste contractors across the two local Philadelphia R&D sites. He has served as his department’s safety coordinator for 18 years and managed safety programs for 12 business units (approx. 300 people) for 8 of those years. He was also one of the founding members of the site sustainability committee raising awareness of the environmental impacts the site was having on the ecosystem. His passion about sustainability brough him back to finish his bachelor’s from Penn State University with a degree in Energy and Sustainable Policy. While in school, Steve worked with Lower Merion Township to help create their Greenhouse Gas Inventory and develop reduction strategies that are being used today in their Climate Action Plan. After graduating, Steve moved into the Green Lab Program Manager and here today to share his experience and journey with us.

Enhancing your communication skills requires dedication and practice. In this session, we're going to explore the essentials of effective communication, introduce strategies for improvement, and provide valuable resources to help you continue honing your abilities.Speaker: Julie O'Shaughnessy
Julie has a demonstrated track record of building and scaling teams and mechanisms for successful, sustained, high-performance strategic execution in both startups and enterprises and across the finance, tech, and biotech sectors. At Vivodyne, she is the Chief Operating Officer, responsible for all operational functions including strategic planning, finance, people, facilities, and business operations. Before Vivodyne, she led operations at Resilience during its hypergrowth scale-up period to over 3,000 workers. At AWS, she founded the global operations team to support enterprise customers and went on to lead the global strategy and operations for the Startup and VC side of the business. Julie is Vice Chair of the Board at the Ali Forney Center and Vice Chair for the University of New Hampshire Athletics Board.

Collaboratively, we'll dive into these scenarios in working groups, dissecting the problems, exploring possible solutions, and then, leveraging the skills honed in prior sessions, crafting compelling presentations. These creations will not only be shared among us but will also be pitted against each other in a friendly competition to crown the most effective solution.After the conference we will share the repository or presentations for members to use in their own work settings. -
